United Airlines Begins Starlink Installation on First Widebody Aircraft, Starting with Boeing 777-200ERs
United Airlines has initiated the installation of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet on its widebody fleet, making it the first US carrier to offer the service on such aircraft. The initial rollout targets the airline's high-density, domestically-configured Boeing 777-200ERs, which were formerly part of the Continental Airlines fleet. The first specific aircraft to be equipped is registered as N773UA. This technological upgrade is part of United's broader strategy to enhance the in-flight passenger experience with significantly faster and more reliable internet connectivity. The airline plans to continue equipping more aircraft with Starlink technology in the near future.
