United Airlines and Neste Extend Sustainable Aviation Fuel Agreement
United Airlines and Neste are expanding their partnership for the supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Under the new agreement, Neste will provide up to 52.5 million gallons of its SAF to United over the next three years. This fuel will be used for flights departing from San Francisco International Airport and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The deal significantly increases the volume from their previous agreement and supports United's goal of becoming 100% green by 2050 without carbon offsets. Neste's SAF is produced from renewable waste and residue materials, capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel.
