UK Regulator Warns Loganair Over CEO's 'Inappropriate' Social Media Posts
The UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a formal warning to Scottish airline Loganair regarding social media posts by its chief executive, Jonathan Hinkles. The regulator described the posts, made from a personal account where the CEO is identifiable, as "inappropriate" and sometimes "intimidating." An investigation revealed the airline lacked a social media policy for its staff. Consequently, the CAA has instructed Loganair to develop and implement such a policy. The airline acknowledged the regulator's feedback and confirmed it is now creating the required guidelines.
