UK Regulator Orders Wizz Air to Re-examine Compensation Claims for Cancelled Flights
The UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has initiated enforcement action against Wizz Air over a significant backlog of unpaid compensation claims. The regulator expressed serious concerns regarding the airline's failure to pay what passengers are owed for flight disruptions. As a result, Wizz Air is now required to review all previously rejected claims for flights to or from the UK since March 2022. Passengers whose claims were incorrectly denied may now be entitled to payment. This action is part of the CAA's broader efforts to enhance customer service and uphold passenger rights across the industry.
