UK Government Reinstates 100ml Liquid Rule at Six Airports
The UK government has reintroduced the 100ml liquid restriction for carry-on luggage at six regional airports, effective immediately. This decision reverses a recent easing of rules which had allowed passengers to carry up to two litres of liquids. The affected airports, including London City, Newcastle, and Aberdeen, had already installed new advanced CT security scanners. The Department for Transport stated this is a temporary measure to allow for improvements to be made to the new systems. This policy change comes as many larger UK airports missed the 1 June deadline to fully implement the new technology.
