Uber and Joby Aviation Announce App Integration for Future Air Taxi Services
Joby Aviation and Uber are expanding their partnership by integrating Joby's future air taxi service directly into the Uber app. This move is designed to create a seamless, multimodal travel experience for consumers. Once commercially launched, customers will be able to book flights on Joby's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft through the same app used for ride-sharing. The integration marks a significant step towards making aerial ridesharing a mainstream reality. Joby Aviation is targeting a 2025 commercial launch for its innovative air taxi network.
