U.S. Implements New Entry Requirements for Flights from Ebola-Affected Countries
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has mandated new entry protocols for any passengers who have recently been in Guinea, Liberia, or Sierra Leone. All flights carrying such individuals must now land at one of five designated U.S. airports equipped for enhanced health screenings. These airports are JFK, Newark Liberty, Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will reroute any aircraft attempting to land elsewhere with affected passengers onboard. This advisory is critical for operators to ensure compliance and avoid costly diversions.
