Two Killed After Small Plane Crashes on Catalina Island

A small, single-engine aircraft crashed on Catalina Island Friday morning, resulting in the deaths of two people. The incident occurred shortly after the plane departed from the island's Airport in the Sky. Officials identified the aircraft as a Piper PA-32 that was en route to John Wayne Airport in Orange County. Los Angeles County Sheriff's and fire departments responded to the scene.
