Two Injured in Muskingum County Cessna Crash Following Mechanical Failure

A 1978 Cessna 182 single-engine plane crashed in Muskingum County, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon, injuring both people on board. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the aircraft experienced a mechanical failure shortly after takeoff from Zanesville Municipal Airport. The pilot, Daniel Tuttle, 73, attempted an emergency landing in a field. Tuttle sustained serious injuries, while the passenger, Thomas Patrick, 69, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified of the incident.
