Two F/A-18 Hornets Collide Mid-Air During Idaho Air Show; Both Pilots Land Safely
Two F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets were involved in a mid-air collision during the Gowen Thunder air show in Boise, Idaho. The incident involved aircraft from the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, known as the "Red Devils." Despite the collision, both pilots successfully maintained control of their damaged aircraft. They were able to land safely back at Gowen Field. No injuries were reported to either the pilots or personnel on the ground, though the event was temporarily placed on lockdown.
