Turkish Airlines Targets 2027 for Nonstop Istanbul-Sydney Flights with Airbus A350-1000
Turkish Airlines has revealed its ambition to launch nonstop flights between Istanbul and Sydney, targeting a start date in 2027. This ultra-long-haul route would be one of the longest in the world, connecting Europe directly with Australia's largest city. The airline plans to operate this service using its new fleet of Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, which are yet to be delivered. This strategic move marks a significant expansion of the carrier's global network, eliminating the current one-stop service via Singapore. The A350-1000 was selected for its extended range and efficiency, making such a demanding route commercially viable.
