Turkish Airlines Signals Intent to Purchase 150 Boeing Jets for Major Fleet Expansion
Turkish Airlines has announced a significant plan to expand its fleet, with Chairman Ahmet Bolat confirming the carrier's intent to purchase approximately 150 aircraft from Boeing. This potential acquisition is a key component of the airline's ten-year strategic plan, which aims to double its fleet size from around 400 to 800 aircraft by 2033. The prospective order would include Boeing's 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner models. This announcement comes as the airline is also in talks with Airbus for the remainder of its planned 250-300 new aircraft procurement.
