Tui Flight Diverts to Gambia After Mid-Air Engine Fault
A Tui flight from Manchester to Cape Verde was forced to divert and land in Gambia due to a technical issue. The pilot initially cited a problem with the wing flaps but later confirmed a technical fault with one of the engines. The precautionary landing left over 200 passengers stranded in the West African country for more than 24 hours. Tui has since apologized for the disruption and confirmed it provided accommodation and food for all affected customers. A replacement aircraft was arranged to take the passengers to their final destination.
