TUI Boeing 787 Returns to Manchester Following Bird Strike
A TUI flight bound for Cape Verde was forced to return to Manchester Airport shortly after takeoff on Monday. The aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, encountered a bird strike during its departure. As a precautionary measure, the crew declared an emergency and circled over North Wales to burn off fuel before landing. The plane landed safely back in Manchester, and no injuries were reported. Passengers were provided with overnight hotel accommodation and were scheduled to depart on a rescheduled flight the next day.
