TUI Airways Dreamliner Diverts to Bermuda After Severe Turbulence Injures Crew
A TUI Airways Boeing 787-8, operating a flight from Manchester to Cancún, was forced to divert after encountering severe turbulence. The incident occurred over the Atlantic Ocean at an altitude of 40,000 feet. The unforecasted clear-air turbulence resulted in injuries to several cabin crew members. The flight crew declared a PAN PAN and safely landed at L.F. Wade International Airport in Bermuda. One crew member with serious injuries was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
