TSA Pilots First-Ever Off-Site Security Screening Program at Boston Logan Airport
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has launched a groundbreaking pilot program at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) called "Screening at Speed." This initiative represents the first-ever off-site security screening checkpoint in the United States. In collaboration with Massport and American Airlines, passengers can check their luggage and complete security screening at a remote location, specifically the airport's Terminal E parking garage. After being screened, travelers are bussed directly to the secure, post-security area of the terminal, completely bypassing the main checkpoint. The program aims to alleviate congestion within the terminal and create a more efficient and streamlined passenger experience.
