Topsoe and Sasol to Supply Core Technology for New Canadian Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project
Topsoe and Sasol have been selected to provide the technology for a new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Port-Daniel-Gascons, Quebec, Canada. The project, developed by Bio-L-Jet, will utilize Topsoe’s G2L™ solution, which incorporates HydroFlex™ and H2bridge™ technologies, alongside Sasol’s Fischer-Tropsch technology. Using forestry and agricultural waste as feedstock, the plant is designed to produce 100 million litres of SAF annually. This initiative represents a significant step towards decarbonizing Canada's aviation industry, as the fuel is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85% compared to conventional jet fuel.
