The ePlane Company Outlines Strategy for Indian Air Taxi and Drone Market
The ePlane Company is advancing the development of its e200, a two-seater electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft targeting urban air mobility in India. COO Divya Manchanda detailed a dual strategy, beginning with a cargo drone to mature the technology and navigate regulatory hurdles. This initial phase will pave the way for the passenger air taxi, which is designed for a 200-kilometer range. The company is aiming for certification of the e200 by 2028. Manchanda highlighted the vision to make urban travel significantly faster, reducing commute times from hours to minutes.
