Teleport Revenue Jumps 66% in Q1 as E-commerce Boom Drives Cargo Volumes
Teleport, the logistics arm of Capital A, has reported a significant 66% year-on-year revenue increase to RM201.2 million ($42.4 million) for the first quarter of 2024. This growth was primarily fueled by a surge in cross-border e-commerce, which boosted cargo tonnage by 64% to 71,944 tonnes. The company's profitability also improved, with EBITDA rising 155% to RM16.4 million. Teleport's strategy focuses on connecting Southeast Asia with key e-commerce markets like China, supported by the recent induction of its first A321 Freighter. These results underscore the successful pivot towards servicing the high-demand international e-commerce sector.
