TAPA EMEA and Trans.eu Launch Secure Freight Exchange to Combat Cargo Crime
The Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) for the EMEA region has partnered with the European digital logistics platform Trans.eu. Together, they have launched the first-ever TAPA-certified freight exchange platform designed to combat the growing threat of cargo crime. This initiative connects verified shippers with a network of certified transport providers, significantly enhancing supply chain security. The platform utilizes Trans.eu's technology for real-time freight monitoring, secure communication, and digital transaction management. This partnership addresses the more than 11,000 cargo theft incidents recorded in the EMEA region in 2023, which resulted in losses exceeding €187 million.
