Stunt Plane Crashes at Gunfighter Skies Air Show; Pilot Survives
A single-engine stunt plane crashed during a performance at the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, June 17, 2023. The pilot, Kent Pietsch, was the sole occupant of the aircraft. He was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries. In response to the crash, the remainder of the Saturday air show was canceled. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation.
