Student Pilot Flips Cessna 172 at Miami Executive Airport After Hard Braking
A Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft flipped over during a landing attempt at Miami Executive Airport in Southwest Miami-Dade. The plane was operated by Wayman Aviation Academy and had a student pilot and a flight instructor on board. According to authorities, the student pilot applied the brakes too aggressively upon landing, causing the aircraft to nose-dive and overturn onto its roof. Both occupants were able to exit the single-engine plane safely and were not injured. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and will investigate the incident.
