Spirit AeroSystems Prioritizes Quality Amid Boeing Sale Talks; Airbus Modifies A350F Freighter Design

Spirit AeroSystems CEO Pat Shanahan stated the company is currently focused on improving its quality and performance as a supplier, not on a potential sale to Boeing. Shanahan emphasized that a sale is just one of several options being considered to resolve ongoing production issues. In other major industry news, Airbus is modifying the design of its A350 freighter in response to customer feedback. The main deck cargo door will be widened to better accommodate the transport of large engines. This design change is expected to push the aircraft's entry-into-service to 2026.
