Southwest Airlines Calls Police on Passenger After Dispute Over Boarding With Guitar

A Southwest Airlines passenger was denied boarding at Boston Logan International Airport after a dispute with a gate agent over his guitar. The musician, Satchel Henneman, was told he could not bring his instrument into the cabin, despite it complying with FAA regulations and his past experiences. The disagreement over the airline's carry-on policy for musical instruments escalated quickly. Consequently, the gate agent called law enforcement to intervene at the gate. Although no arrest was made, the passenger missed his flight and later received an apology and a travel voucher from Southwest for the incident.
