South Korea Selects Site For First Commercial Urban Air Mobility Vertiport
South Korea's government has announced the location for the country's first commercial urban air mobility (UAM) vertiport. The site will be built along the Ara Waterway in Incheon, marking a critical step in the nation's K-UAM Grand Challenge program. This initiative aims to launch commercial air taxi services by late 2025. The initial route will connect the new vertiport with Gimpo and Incheon international airports. A consortium led by SK Telecom will be responsible for building and operating the facility, which is foundational to establishing a viable UAM ecosystem.
