South Korea Outlines Roadmap for Initial eVTOL Services by 2028

South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has detailed its plan to launch initial Urban Air Mobility services. The government aims to begin commercial eVTOL operations between late 2025 and 2028. The initial phase will focus on connecting major airports like Incheon and Gimpo with central Seoul. This roadmap is part of the K-UAM Grand Challenge, a large-scale demonstration program to verify safety and operational standards. The plan involves creating a dedicated air traffic control system and building necessary vertiport infrastructure.
