Small Plane Makes Emergency Water Landing in Bay Behind Ocean City Nightclub
A small aircraft conducted an emergency water landing in the Isle of Wight Bay in Ocean City, Maryland. The single-engine plane came down in the water behind the popular Seacrets entertainment complex. The pilot was the only person on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. Reports indicate the pilot was not seriously injured and was quickly assisted by nearby boaters and first responders. The U.S. Coast Guard was dispatched to the scene to assist. An investigation into the cause of the emergency landing is underway.
