Small Plane Conducts Emergency Landing Near Lake Havasu Airport After Engine Trouble
A small, single-engine airplane made a successful emergency landing near Lake Havasu City Airport on Saturday morning. The pilot reported engine trouble shortly after takeoff, forcing a landing in a desert wash off State Route 95. Both the pilot and a single passenger on board were uninjured during the incident. Emergency crews from the Lake Havasu City Fire and Police departments responded to the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified of the event.
