SkyDrive Targets 2028 for eVTOL Sightseeing Service on Australia's Gold Coast

Japanese eVTOL developer SkyDrive has announced plans to launch an electric air taxi sightseeing service on Australia's Gold Coast by 2028. The company signed a Letter of Intent with Australian companies Electro.Aero and Aviair to explore the necessary infrastructure, regulations, and public acceptance for the venture. Aviair, a regional airline, has already placed a pre-order for up to 50 of SkyDrive's SD-05 aircraft. The partnership aims to establish a sustainable urban air mobility ecosystem, starting with scenic flights. This collaboration marks a significant step towards introducing commercial eVTOL operations in the Queensland region.
