Single-Engine Cessna Conducts Emergency Landing on Ocean City Beach After Engine Failure
A single-engine Cessna 172RG made a successful emergency landing on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland, on Sunday evening. The pilot, 23-year-old Trevor Deihl, was the sole occupant and reported a complete engine failure, forcing him to land the aircraft near 6th Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, which occurred around 6:15 PM. The plane was later safely towed off the beach. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will be investigating the cause of the engine failure.
