Singapore University Team Successfully Completes First Flight Tests of Delta-Flyer eVTOL

A team from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) has successfully completed the first flight test campaign for its homegrown eVTOL aircraft, the Delta-Flyer. The aircraft is a 1:2 scale proof-of-concept featuring a tandem tilt-wing design for efficient vertical and horizontal flight. The tests, conducted at Singapore's dedicated UAS Centre, validated the aircraft's critical flight phases, including vertical take-off, transition to cruise, and vertical landing. Led by Associate Professor Foong Shaohui, the project is backed by a grant from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The team is now seeking industry partners to develop a full-scale, two-seater version for future Advanced Air Mobility applications.
