Singapore Conducts First Flight of Locally Developed eVTOL Aircraft

Singapore has successfully completed the first flight of its inaugural locally developed electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The subscale prototype, developed by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), flew on February 23. This flight is a key milestone in a joint project with Singapore Technologies (ST) Engineering. The demonstrator, which is 4.5 meters long, paves the way for a full-scale version designed to carry four passengers. This achievement marks a significant step forward in Singapore's ambitions within the advanced air mobility sector.
