Siemens and Sarla Aviation Partner to Develop Hybrid-Electric Propulsion for Urban Air Mobility
Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced a partnership with Sarla Aviation to advance solutions for the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) market. The collaboration will focus on creating certifiable hybrid-electric propulsion systems for new aircraft, including Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) and electric Short Take-off and Landing (eSTOL) vehicles. Sarla Aviation will leverage Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio of software and services to design, simulate, and engineer these complex systems. This strategic partnership aims to accelerate the development of sustainable aviation technology for emerging electric aircraft platforms.
