Shein Expands Sustainable Aviation Fuel Commitment with DHL GoGreen Plus Agreement
Fast-fashion retailer Shein is significantly increasing its use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) through a new partnership with DHL Express. The agreement utilizes DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, which allows customers to directly reduce the carbon emissions associated with their air freight. Through this deal, Shein will purchase over 3,000 tons of SAF, a move projected to cut lifecycle carbon emissions by approximately 9,000 tons. This collaboration marks a key step in Shein's strategy to decarbonize its supply chain and reduce its overall environmental impact. The initiative demonstrates a growing trend where cargo clients are driving the demand for more sustainable logistics solutions in the aviation sector.
