Second Victim Identified in Fatal Brooklyn Park Single-Engine Plane Crash
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the second person killed in the recent Brooklyn Park plane crash. Larry M. Schlichting, 61, of East Gull Lake, died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the incident. The crash occurred on October 21 near the intersection of 93rd Avenue and West Broadway Avenue. The pilot, previously identified as 31-year-old Mathew Schmidt, was also killed when the single-engine Luscombe 8A went down. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
