San Diego Surgeon Identified as Victim in Montgomery-Gibbs Airport Crash
Authorities have identified one of the two victims killed in a plane crash at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office named Dr. Lanna Tran, a 41-year-old plastic surgeon, as one of the deceased. The crash involved a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza which went down shortly after takeoff on December 14. The identity of the second person on board has not yet been released. Both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the fatal incident.
