Safran and Partners Launch European 'TAKE' Project to Advance Clean Aviation Engine Technology
Safran, in collaboration with 22 European partners, has launched the TAKE (Technology Advancements for Clean Engines) project. This initiative operates under the European Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking. The project aims to mature critical technologies for the next generation of ultra-high bypass ratio (UHBR) engines. The primary goal is to achieve a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to current CFM LEAP engines. With a budget of €24.5 million, TAKE is a key step towards Europe's goal of climate-neutral aviation by 2050.
