SABA Members Announce Major Purchase Commitments for Next-Generation Sustainable Aviation Fuel
The Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA) has revealed a significant new round of purchase commitments for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Key members, including Bank of America, Meta, and Boston Consulting Group, have collectively committed to purchasing 135 million gallons of high-integrity SAF certificates. This multi-year agreement is designed to provide a strong demand signal to producers, supporting the development of next-generation SAF technologies like alcohol-to-jet. By de-risking investment in new production facilities, the alliance aims to accelerate the scaling of the SAF market. The deal represents SABA's largest collective procurement to date and is a crucial step in the aviation industry's decarbonization efforts.
