Ryanair Warns of Summer Fare Hikes Due to Boeing Delivery Delays
Ryanair has warned passengers to expect higher airfares this summer, attributing the potential increase to significant delays in aircraft deliveries from Boeing. The airline had anticipated receiving 57 new Boeing 737 MAX jets by the end of June but now expects only 40 to arrive on time. This shortfall will constrain the airline's capacity, forcing it to cut some flights from its summer schedule. With fewer available seats during the peak travel season, CEO Michael O'Leary projects that fares could rise by 5-10% compared to last summer.
