Russ Meyer, Legendary Former Cessna Chairman and CEO, Passes Away at 91

Russell W. Meyer Jr., the former chairman and CEO of Cessna Aircraft Company, has passed away at the age of 91. Meyer is widely credited with revitalizing the company after taking leadership in 1975, transforming it into a leader in the business jet market. He was a crucial advocate for the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994, which helped revive the piston aircraft industry. A former fighter pilot, Meyer was a passionate, lifelong proponent of general aviation. For his immense contributions, he was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2009.
