Rolls-Royce Announces New Cardiff Factory, Creating 1,000 Jobs for Engine Servicing
Rolls-Royce has unveiled plans to build a new £110m aircraft engine maintenance facility in Cardiff, Wales, a move expected to generate 1,000 new jobs. The state-of-the-art factory will specialize in servicing the Trent XWB engine, which exclusively powers the Airbus A350 fleet. This development is part of Rolls-Royce's strategy to significantly expand its engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) capabilities. The company aims for the new site to be fully operational within three years, eventually servicing up to 400 engines per year.
