Recreational Aviation Foundation and BLM Renew MOU for Backcountry Airstrip Preservation
The Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF) and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have officially renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement extends their successful partnership for another five years. The collaboration focuses on maintaining, preserving, and improving backcountry airstrips located on public lands managed by the BLM. Through the MOU, the RAF provides volunteer labor and expertise to keep these remote airfields safe and accessible for the general aviation community. This renewal solidifies a vital relationship that ensures pilots can continue to access unique recreational areas across the country.
