Qantas Configures A350 for 'Project Sunrise' with Extra Fuel Tank and Just 238 Seats
Qantas is advancing its plans for the landmark 'Project Sunrise' non-stop flights from Sydney to London and New York. The airline will utilize specially modified Airbus A350-1000 aircraft for these ultra-long-haul routes. To achieve the necessary range for the approximately 20-hour journeys, the jets will be equipped with an additional center fuel tank. In a move prioritizing passenger comfort, the cabin will feature an exceptionally low-density layout of only 238 seats across four classes. This configuration includes First, Business, Premium Economy, and a dedicated 'Wellbeing Zone' to enhance the passenger experience on the world's longest commercial flights.
