Portal Space and Paladin Capital Partner on Commercial Debris Removal Venture
Portal Space Systems has secured new funding from investment firm Paladin Capital Group to advance its commercial space debris removal technology. The company is developing a small satellite, named Supernova, designed to deorbit at least two pieces of orbital debris per mission. The system will use a non-propulsive tether to capture and drag space junk into Earth's atmosphere where it can safely burn up. With the U.S. Space Force identified as a key potential customer, Portal is targeting its first mission for 2025.
