Piper PA-28 Makes Gear-Up Emergency Landing at Bangor International Airport, Closing Runway

A single-engine Piper PA-28 aircraft conducted an emergency landing at Bangor International Airport. The pilot was forced to land with the gear up after the landing gear failed to deploy. The two people on board the aircraft were not injured during the incident. The plane was traveling from Presque Isle to Portland when the pilot declared the emergency. As a result, the airport's main runway was closed for approximately two hours while crews worked to remove the plane.
