Pilot Walks Away Uninjured After Plane Crashes Upside Down Following Engine Failure
A pilot in Wallingford, Connecticut, miraculously escaped injury after a single-engine plane crashed. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from Meriden-Markham Municipal Airport when the pilot reported engine trouble. The aircraft, a Piper PA-38, ultimately came to rest upside down near a daycare center. The pilot was the only person on board and was able to exit the wreckage unharmed. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
