Pilot Uninjured After Small Plane Crashes Near Northeast Philadelphia Airport
A small, single-engine plane crashed in a wooded area near the Northeast Philadelphia Airport on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred shortly after the aircraft took off from the airport. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where the plane went down just off the end of a runway. The pilot, who was the only person on board, was fortunately able to walk away from the wreckage without serious injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
