Pilot Uninjured After Single-Engine Plane Crashes Near Allen County Airport
A pilot from Fremont, Ohio, walked away without injury after his small plane crashed on Monday afternoon near the Allen County Regional Airport. The incident occurred when the 1974 Bellanca single-engine aircraft experienced engine trouble during takeoff. The pilot attempted to return to the runway but was forced to land in an adjacent soybean field. While the pilot was unharmed, the aircraft sustained significant damage. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified of the crash and will investigate.
