Pilot Uninjured After Piper Aircraft Overturns During Emergency Landing in Summit County
A single-engine plane crashed in a field in Springfield Township, Summit County, on Sunday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the pilot, 74-year-old Terry Marr, experienced engine trouble shortly after taking off from Akron-Fulton Airport. Marr attempted an emergency landing in a nearby field, during which his 1969 Piper PA-28 aircraft overturned. Remarkably, the pilot was not injured in the incident. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will be investigating the crash.
