Pilot Survives After Small Plane Crashes Near Whiteman Airport in Pacoima
A small, single-engine plane crashed in an industrial area of Pacoima shortly after taking off from Whiteman Airport on Thursday morning. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, survived the crash. They were transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. The plane struck power lines before crashing onto a parked car, causing a small fire and a localized power outage. No injuries were reported on the ground. The FAA and NTSB have been notified and will be investigating the incident.
